In the published ranking The Forbes Diamonds 2010, Armatura Kraków SA was placed in the high 4th place in Małopolska and the 28th in Poland amongst companies with sales incomes between 50 and 250 million zloty. The Forbes Diamond report is created in cooperation with Dun&Bradstreet. This time companies with the most dynamic value increase during the years 2006-2008 were listed in the ranking. The list of the Forbes Diamonds was prepared on the basis of Swiss company evaluation method, taking into account both financial results and the assets value. This method enables evaluating the companies’ potential, considering amount of investments carried out and ability of increasing sales and profits. The ranking is available in the supplement to the Forbes February issue. “…the listed Armatura Kraków until recently known under the name Krakowska Fabryka Armatur, short KFA was ranked in the fourth place amongst medium size companies, (…) in 2005 Konrad Hernik , financier, graduated from the Academy of Economy in Cracow, experienced in the Penetrator brokerage house, Bank BPH and Instal Kraków was appointed president of Armatura. (…) Considers that due to the brand strength, the company won the medium market segment. All Poland service networks, which competitors lack is very conducive. Well known tap ware importers grew in the nineties and later upon our weaknesses resulting from the restructurisation requirement. Now we compete with them successfully – says Konrad Hernik. In 2009, the company carried out two spectacular investments. 32 million zloty for purchasing aluminium radiators plant from the non existing today Italian company Toora Poland – wrong investment in aluminium rims made this listed company go bankrupt. An additional 3 million zloty Armatura appropriated for investing in the newly purchased company and on the ashes of the Italian company Armatoora SA was established. The company spent further over 13 million zloty, for over 90 percent shares in Armagora, large manufacturer of valves and tap ware from Gorzów Wielkopolski. (…)” Source: Forbes (supplement) February 2010. The analysis was conduced on companies which presented their 2008 financial report in KRS on time or published it in the Monitor Polski B. Companies in bankruptcy or liquidation were eliminated and then only those with positive financial result and risk factor below 4 were evaluated and selected according to Dun&Bradstreet rating.
