For the sixth time the editorial staff of the economic magazine “Polish Market” and the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Science prepared together a ranking of the Pearls of the Polish Economy 2008. Armatura Kraków SA has been awarded in the category Great Pearls for the consequent realisation of the policy and company strategy and the position of the leader amongst best effective companies in Poland. The aim of the competition is promoting and honouring most dynamic companies operating in the Polish market. The main criteria for company evaluation is its size evaluated upon total company revenue. Also effectiveness, dynamics and liquidity are considered. The range of criteria has been specified by the Institute of Economics of the Polish Academy of Science. Some of them are: growth rate, and sales return, total level of liabilities, gross return on assets rate, own capital net return rate, joined effectiveness of labour and capital utilisation. The honoured patrons of the Polish Pearls of Economy 2008 pageantry were the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy, Waldemar Pawlak and the President of the Polish Academy of Science Michał Kleiber.
